A dentist from Salisbury has bid a fond farewell to patients and colleagues after 40 years.

Dr Karen Lintin, from Coombe Dental Care, retired on Thursday the 16th July after 40 years of tending to patients in Salisbury. Dr Lintin qualified from the University of Bristol Dental Hospital in 1975 and spent the last eight years of her career at the Coombe Road practice.

Speaking ahead of her final day, Dr Lintin thanked her colleagues and patients for their kind wishes and for their continued support and loyalty during her time at the Harnham surgery. Karen said that it had been a pleasure to work in such a caring and driven dental team and she will miss both the staff and patients dearly. Over the course of the last forty years, she has been lucky enough to get to know several members of the same family and to treat many different generations. The world of dentistry has changed a lot and Karen has enjoyed being part of this evolution.

Principal dentist, Belinda Vohra, said that everyone will miss Karen hugely, but she deserves to enjoy a well-earned retirement; everyone is eager to keep in touch and they look forward to hearing what she has planned for the coming years.

Dr Lintin’s place will now be filled by Dr Simon Russell, who has recently returned to the UK after a year out in Australia with his family.
