Oasis Dental Raises more than £40,000 for Good Causes

One of the UK’s largest dental chains, Oasis Dental, has raised thousands of pounds for good causes up and down the country.

Last month, practices all over the UK took part in a fundraising day to raise money for charities, most notably Bridge2Aid. The firm donated 20% of the day’s takings to the organisation and local practices also chose their own charities to support. Teams organised bake sales, charity walks and other fundraising activities to support local good causes.

Bridge2Aid is a dental charity that supports projects in Tanzania and other African countries. Volunteers provide basic dental care for people living in remote villages as well as valuable training for practitioners working out in Tanzania. The role of the volunteers is to educate and demonstrate, so that practitioners can gain the skills they need to provide treatment once the volunteer teams have left.

In total the chain raised around £45,000 in a single day. This will make a massive difference to Bridge2Aid and a host of other charities.

Alison Ward, practice manager at Guiseley clinic, said it was a great honour to be involved in such a special day and to work together to raise money for important charities that do great work in the UK and overseas. Staff at the practice hosted a cake sale and a raffle to raise money on the day and the team and patients had a fantastic day.
