NHS dentistry gets boost in Northampton
The news that Northampton now has a new dental surgery has put smiles on the faces of many local people.
Harborough Dental Practice, based on Harborough Road, has been opened by Dr Raza Khan as part of NHS Northamptonshire’s £2.5 million investment into dental services in the area.
Northampton Chronicle and Echo reports that three new dentists will work from the Harborough practice from 8am to 5:30pm five days a week, increasing access to NHS dental care for many local people.
Diane Fenton, head of dentistry in Northamptonshire, said the NHS were delighted that new practice had been opened and was excited that the clinic’s longer opening hours would mean that more local patients would get the treatment they need at a time convenient to them.
Ms Fenton added that Dr Khan and his team had worked really hard to the clinic up and running as soon as possible.
