New surgery will fill gap in NHS provision in Winchester

Sample News Big

NHS Hampshire has announced that a new contract worth 1.1 million pounds per year has been given to Iosis Clinic Limited.

Iosis Clinic Limited will now open and run a new dental practice in Winchester; the new surgery is set to open in autumn and will cater for around 9,500 patients in the local area. Winchester has a population of around 35,000 people so the new centre will offer places for around a quarter of the city’s residents. NHS Hampshire has also insisted that the company provide an outreach programme to support local villages and small towns.

The outreach programme will provide relief for NHS services, which are currently working beyond their means in the villages and towns of Stockbridge, Bishop’s Waltham, the Upper Meon Valley and Wickham. It is believed that a mobile unit will provide these services, enabling people to receive care on their doorstep.

The new surgery will open in Anglo St James House on Southgate Street; the facility has plenty of space and is ideally located to cater for Winchester residents. NHS Hampshire will work closely with Iosis Clinic Limited to ensure patients get the best possible standards of care and are looking forward to the new challenges the partnership will face. The surgery is set to open between 8am and 8pm.
