American Idol winner Clay Aiken has undergone cosmetic dental treatment to prepare for his new role on Broadway.

Reported by dBusinessNews.com, the singer is to play Sir Robin in Monty Python’s Spamalot between January and May this year.

His cosmetic dentist Dr Bobbi Stanley told the news source that Mr Aiken contacted him five days before his appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show, asking for a new smile.

The dentist’s clinic provided the signer with the technology required to achieve perfect teeth in a short space of time.

It included computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing systems for creating ceramic restorations in one treatment, dental laser technology and ceramic reconstruction.

"It was a great experience," said Mr Aiken. "Dr Stanley fit me in at the very last minute and provided me with a wonderful new smile. It was really more of a spa experience than a dental appointment."

Over in the UK, Paul Potts, the winner of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, spent some of his £100,000 winnings from the show on cosmetic dental treatment.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18427208-ADNFCR
