A new dental surgery in Boston has been hailed as a ‘huge asset’ to the local community.

The Tooth Booth, which recently opened in Wide Bargate, offers appointments in the evenings and weekends, as well as same-day emergency appointments. The surgery is the only practice in the borough to offer out of hours appointments.

Local people were invited to attend the opening of the surgery; Boston’s Deputy Mayor, Councillor Gerry Clare and his wife cut the ribbon and local residents were given tours and the opportunity to meet the team. Staff were also on hand to register people who wanted to join the practice.

Councillor Clare said that the Tooth Booth would make a huge difference to the local community; local people will now be able to access NHS dental services on their doorstep and the surgery offers appointments during the evenings and weekends, which is very helpful for people who work full-time. The emergency dental service will also be very useful, as patients used to have to travel further afield for this service.

The practice has been open to patients since November but the official opening ceremony has only just taken place.
