Sample News Big

A new dental clinic will provide much-needed dental care for people on a low income in Virginia.

The Piedmont Regional Dental Clinic will open this spring in Orange; the new centre will help low income families in Greene, Orange, Madison and Culpeper counties.

The facility was made possible by the Virginia Health Care Foundation and funds were also raised by campaigners and groups across the Charlottesville area, including the Martha Jefferson Hospital Community Outreach Services, the Community Endowment of the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation and the BamaWorks Fund of the Dave Matthews Band. The new centre will provide care for Medicare patients, as well as those on a low income without dental insurance.

When it opens, the facility will offer patients a range of dental treatments; the new facility will have nine operatories and three dental teams; it is anticipated that the clinic will treat in the region of 10,000 patients each year.
