Bupa has opened a brand new dental clinic in Central London. The Holborn dental centre is the firm’s 13th dental clinic in the country.

The latest opening is part of Bupa’s drive to become on of the UK’s largest dental providers. Last July, Bupa revealed plans to open up to fifty new practices over the next three years; the majority are set to open in major cities.

Bupa currently cares for around 22,000 patients and this number is set to increase considerably, with several new practices due to open in the near future. The new Holborn clinic provides appointment out of hours and it is conveniently located close to offices.

Ruth Chesmore, director of dental services at Bupa, said that the central location and flexible opening hours would suit professionals working in the area.

News of the new clinic comes shortly after a survey revealed that 44 per cent of Londoners would like straighter teeth, while 7 out of 10 people would prefer whiter teeth.

The YouGov surgery, which involved 500 people from London, said that 22 per cent of people would go to the dentist more frequently if it was easier to get an appointment, while 13 per cent of people said that they would go to the dentist more often if their practice was located in a more convenient location.
