Morrison Returns Home from Pre-Season Tour for Urgent Dental Treatment

Ravel Morrison has been forced to return home early from West Ham’s pre-season tour after suffering from severe tooth pain.

Morrison complained to club doctors last week, stating that he had severe toothache. At the time, the club was considering fining the youngster for missing training but examinations of Morrison’s mouth soon clarified his reasons for absence and he was allowed to return home for emergency dental treatment.

On arriving back in England, the former Manchester United midfielder, who joined Birmingham on loan yesterday, visited a dentist and was told that his teeth were in such bad condition that he may require up to seven extractions.

Morrison has been advised to consider having dental implants at a cost of around £28,000. Once the teeth have been removed the dental implants will act as replacement roots thus restoring missing teeth. When the implants have integrated successfully with the jawbone tissue, they are strong enough to support crowns, dentures and dental bridges. These replacements in turn will restore full function to the mouth and improve the overall aesthetic of the smile.
