Lulu gives up Botox
The 59-year-old singer told the newspaper that the wrinkle-smoothing injections are making her face too frozen.
"I used to have Botox and I thought it was fantastic at first," she explained. "But it quickly fades. Too much of it makes your face immovable and it doesn't actually help you to look young. So I stopped."
Demand for Botox injections saw a dramatic rise in popularity during 2007, with a 51 per cent rise in treatments recorded by the Harley Medical Group.
Liz Dale, director of the group, explained that facial rejuvenation and Botox are no longer seen as a luxury, but part of a regular beauty maintenance regime.
Victoria Beckham allegedly uses a face cream containing Botox, it has been reported.
According to Grazia magazine, the Spice Girl swears by the product to stay looking young.
The cream contains Argireline - a muscle relaxant - and is priced at £55 a tub.
