Laser whitening ‘gives fastest results’
Laser whitening at a dental clinic is the most effective teeth whitening method, it has been claimed.
According to Rochester Advanced Dentistry, people seeking to brighten their smile have the pick of three options.
Over-the-counter whitening solutions are the cheapest method, it explained, but will only give extremely short-term results.
A custom-fitted whitening tray and prescription gel gives results in between one and two weeks by wearing the tray for a few hours every day, the firm said.
Dental laser whitening is the most costly, but gives the most impressive results in the quickest space of time, it added.
"Many dentists consider laser whitening to be the safest of all cosmetic dental procedures for providing superior whitening," it stated.
US news source the Sun Journal has revealed that among Americans, teeth whitening is the most popular cosmetic dentistry treatment, with an industry predicted to reach $15 billion (£7.7 billion) by 20120.
