Lancashire dental duo submits plans to create new surgery and luxury flats in 3-storey building

A husband and wife dental team has submitted plans to create a brand new surgery and five luxury flats on a neighbouring plot of land.

Mr and Mrs Hickey, from Southport Road Dental, have sent a proposal to Chorley Council to turn a patch of land adjacent to the current practice premises into a new three-storey building. The ground floor would be used to house the new practice, with five apartments located on the second and third floors. The land is currently occupied by a bungalow.

The plans have been sent in by PCE Designs and are accompanied by a statement that outlines measures to improve access to the surgery, which will be located on the ground floor of the new building. Each flat will have a single parking space, and the residential bays will be separated from those used for the surgery. There will be 15 spaces available with a pay and display system in place. There are currently only three bays available for patients.

The plans will now be reviewed by planning officers at Chorley Council, and a decision is expected in the next couple of months.
