Residents on the Isle of Wight have received an invitation to a dental seminar to find out more about dental services on the island.

Islanders will have the chance to question two key figures from the health profession, consultation in dental public health at Public Health England, Dr Jeyanthi John and dental services commissioner for the Isle of Wight, Natalie Jones. The seminar will take place at the Riverside Centre in Newport on the 22nd August and is open to all free of charge. Places must be booked in advance, as there is limited space available.

During the seminar, guests will have the chance to ask questions and find out more about dental provision on the island and plans for dental services in the future.

Nikki Stewart, spokeswoman for Healthwatch Isle of Wight, said that the event is a chance for those who have an interest in dentistry or local dental services to gain a better understanding of the system and invited as many people as possible to attend. Healthwatch aims to connect patients with the people who provide care and those who are involved in policy making and this seminar is a valuable opportunity for people to share their views, give feedback and find out more about the dental services on offer on the island.
