How do you solve a problem like Maria's teeth?

How do you solve a problem like Maria's teeth?Connie Fisher, the winner of BBC1 talent show How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria, is having cosmetic dentistry to fix her smile, reports the Daily Mail.

Fisher, who has been playing the lead role of Maria in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Sound of Music, told the newspaper that her teeth are too "higgledy-piggledy" and need straightening.

She claimed a fan came to the stage door and left her a leaflet about Invisalign dental correction - invisible braces.

Commenting on her quirky teeth, she said: "It's part of who I am, but having spent my childhood avoiding smiling because I was self-conscious about my teeth, now I have to smile all the time."

After speaking to London dentist Dr Haider Raza, Fisher has been given an occlusal splint which fits over her bottom teeth and holds her jaw in position as she sleeps.

Fisher claimed the treatment is perfect as she does not have to wear it while singing in the day and will eventually fix her smile.

British actress Anna Friel has had a smile makeover since moving to the US. The Pushing Daisies star has had her teeth whitened and a brace fitted.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18562900-ADNFCR
