Hispanic Dental Association appoints new executive director
A New Jersey dentist has been appointed as the executive director of the Hispanic Dental Association.
Dr C Yolanda Bonta, from Somerset, is one of the founding members of the association (HDA) and was selected because of her leadership skills and her drive to innovate excellence in dentistry.
During a 17-year career with Colgate-Palmolive, Dr Bonta has managed teams in a range of specialised dental fields including clinical research, global marketing and product development.
She qualified at the University of Puerto Rico, gained a periodontology certificate from the State University of New York and holds masters degrees in oral biology and microbiology.
Dr Bonta is a member of several other well respected industry-related societies and has also presided over the board of the Friends of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and the board of the ADA’s Student Clinicians.
