Cosmetic dentistry is a long-term approach to maintaining healthy teeth, according to Queens Business Today.

The news source reports that Rego Park dental practice, run by brothers Dr’s Edward and Gary Pinchas, works on an ethic that dental health is similar to building a home.

"If the foundation is not 100 per cent, the house will fall down in two to three years," explained Dr Edward Pinchas.

The dentists also claim that amalgam fillings are no longer used as they have been related to health problems such as migraines and digestive trouble.

Ceramics and polymer compounds are now believed to be more effective and also look more like natural teeth, they added.

"Perfect smiles and healthy teeth, that’s what’s most important," said Dr Gary Pinchas.

The New York Times recently reported that people are seeking expert advice from dentists when choosing a teeth whitening product. ADNFCR-1374-ID-18424869-ADNFCR
