Groundsman Leaves Victim With £3,000 Dental Bill After Vicious Attack

A groundsman left a man with a dental bill of £3000 after a vicious attack in front of a police officer at a hotel in Southampton.

Jake Harman, a 19 year old groundsman from Havant, punched Spencer Bailey-Farnell in full view of a police officer, leaving him with extensive injuries and a dental bill of £3,000.

The police officer had been called after an argument broke out. Harman punched his victim after a remark was made about a girl at the Ibis Hotel in Southampton.

At Winchester Crown Court, Harman admitted to a charge of grievous bodily harm and was ordered to pay the victim £2,000 in compensation. He received a 12 month suspended jail sentence and was ordered to complete 150 hours of community service. Harman will also be on curfew for three months.

The 19 year old lashed left Mr Bailey-Farnell with a split lip, bruising and severe damage to his teeth.
