Gensmile completes the acquisition of Bury St Edmunds practice

Sample News Big

National dental provider, Gensmile, has successfully added a new practice to its network. Gensmile has completed the acquisition of Guildhall Dental in Bury St Edmunds.

The practice, which was previously owned by dentists, John Hare, Paul Carr and Bryan Colborn, has been sold to the chain for an undisclosed fee.

Mr Hare said that it had been a tough decision to sell the clinic, but Gensmile’s ethos fits with that of the practice and it seemed like a perfect time to sell. The trio will remain in their positions under the new owners.

Gensmile’s director, Simon Turton, said that he was “proud” to add a clinic of the stature and quality of Guildhall Dental to the Gensmile family. The management has formed close relationships with the dentists, and everyone is looking forward to building for the future and continuing to provide a first-class service for patients in Bury St Edmunds.

The acquisition was overseen by Christie & Co under the supervision of managing director, Simon Hughes.
