Extended Opening Hours for Gainsborough Dental Practice
An NHS dental practice has been given the go-ahead to extend its opening hours to improve access to dental services in the area.
Gainsborough Dental Care has been awarded a new contract by NHS Lincolnshire to provide extended opening hours for patients. The practice offers appointments throughout the week, as well as restricted appointments on Saturdays and alternate Sundays, as well as same-day assessments for patients with dental emergencies.
Zafran Majid, operations manager at the practice, said that the practice provides patients with flexibility to suit their needs. The surgery also offers weekend and evening appointments for people who work full-time and provides a full range of NHS treatments, including root canal treatment, crowns and fillings. He added that the practice currently has places available for new patients.
Di Pegg, head of contracting at NHS Lincolnshire, said that the trust had awarded the new contract to Gainsborough Dental Care to make it easier for local people to get the treatment they need. The practice offers patients a number of different times to make an appointment and also provides emergency treatment. The practice is one of seven in the county providing extended opening hours and same-day assessments for emergency treatment.
Gainsborough Dental Care is open between 8am and 6:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, between 8am and 8pm on Tuesdays and Fridays and between 9am and 12:30pm on Saturdays and alternate Sundays. The practice is also open on bank holidays from 10am until 1pm.
