Self-described "girl’s girl" Eva Mendes has the sexiest smile, according to cosmetic dental professionals.
Mendes claimed first place with 38 per cent vote from respondents who are members of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).
The American actress who aspired to be a nun as a child and was teased by her brothers and sisters because of her "buck teeth", starred in three high-profile movies (Out Of Time, Once Upon A Time In Mexico and Stuck On You) in just one year (2003).
Anna Hathaway, who starred in the Devil Wears Prada, and Kate Hudson, who received an Oscar nomination for her role in Almost Famous, claimed second and third place.
Actor Brad Pitt, footballer David Beckham and Hollywood star Will Smith were named as the male celebrities with the most attractive smile, according to the respondents.
The AACD is the world’s largest organisation of cosmetic dental professionals, with more than 7,600 members in over 60 countries.
