Domestic abuse victim 'able to smile again'

Domestic abuse victim 'able to smile again'A victim of domestic violence has been given the gift of a new smile, reports US television station WBKO.

The news source explains that after decades of physical abuse, Susan Kauffman had a lot of teeth missing in the bottom and the back of her mouth.

However, as part of the Give Back A Smile program taking place around America, Dr Sam Sadati was able to give her a new smile for free.

"When I was done, finished, and they gave me the mirror, I was just overjoyed," she said. "I'm crying. The staff is crying … It was a gift."

Dr Sadati explained that it was clear to see that Ms Kauffman's missing teeth were not a result of gum disease, but of a direct blow to the face.

Many victims of domestic violence are very timid and embarrassed about their injuries, he added.

The news source states that Ms Kauffman now has more self-esteem as well as a brand new beautiful smile.

US television programme 10 Years Younger recently gave a 41-year-old domestic abuse victim a complete makeover including veneers, chin reconstruction, Botox and an eye lift, reports the Daily Pilot.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18554585-ADNFCR
