Would you buy a DIY Botox kit on eBay? Sure, you don’t need a prescription and it only cost £62, but do-it-yourself Botox could have serious complications and potentially achieve the exact opposite effects from what you were hoping for. 

Although eBay removed the ad, it raises safety concerns, as DIY Botox can result in muscle drooping and facial irregularities, and corrective procedures might be required.

Because Botox is an American product, the UK Medicines Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority can’t stop it being sold to UK customers over the internet. So if you do stumble across sites selling DIY Botox and feel tempted, close the browser, go make an appointment with a licensed practitioner and make the right choice for your health.
