Dentures help mother to smile again

Dentures help mother to smile againAn American charity project has given one mother a brand new smile, it has been reported.

Chickasha News reports that 17-year-old Tiffany Daniel wrote to the Harvest Baptist Church Christmas Wish Project asking for some dental treatment for her unemployed mother.

"She has really bad teeth … I wish my mom could get her teeth pulled," she wrote.

However, the dentists who took on LaDonna Daniel's case decided that a new set of dentures would make her look even better.

Ms Daniel told the newspaper that a genetic condition caused her to begin losing her teeth at a very young age, leading to headaches, vision and digestive problems, which also made it hard for her to smile.

However, with her new set of dentures, she claims to be "relieved and happy and thankful" and is planning to go and get herself a new job.

Dental implants are a popular replacement for dentures - a treatment which involves placing an anchor in the patients jaw and building a ceramic tooth-coloured restoration around it.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18591209-ADNFCR
