Dentists prepare for the London Marathon

Over a hundred dentists are preparing to take to the streets of London this weekend to raise money for good causes.

According to figures, 111 dentists will be taking part in the gruelling race, which takes place this Sunday. 68 male dentists and 43 female dentists will be pounding the streets of the Capital to raise hundreds of pounds for the charities of their choice.

Statistics from the organisers also show that 68 dental assistants will be taking part in the race. Amongst the participants, are husband and wife team David Woodsford and Victoria Kenney from Greenfield Dental Care in Glamorgan. The couple will be joined by former Welsh rugby player, James Bater, who is an associate at the practice.

The London Marathon is an annual event, which raises millions of pounds for hundreds of different charities. This year, more than 46,000 people will be running and more than a million spectators are expected to line the streets of London.
