A team of dental nurses, dentists and hygienists are preparing to take on the Cardiff half marathon to raise money for charity.

The team, from Beaufort Park Dental surgery in Chepstow will run in aid of Dentaid, a charity that provides dental equipment, promotes oral health and targets deprived areas and the Mouth Cancer Foundation, an organisation that raises awareness of mouth cancer and helps individuals affected by the disease. The race will take place on Sunday 16th October.

The 14 runners are hoping to raise £1,500 for charity and have been training hard to get into tip-top shape in time for the race. Victoria Croft, one of the team members, said that many of the group are keen runners and they wanted to use their hobby to raise money. She added that they had been training for a while, to ensure that they are in the best form for Sunday’s race.

Anyone who is interested in donating to the causes are advised to visit the surgery or telephone for details and all donations will be very gratefully received.
