Dental Surgeon Angered By Spelling Mistake At Local Hospital

Sample News Big

A dental surgeon was left angered by a sign at a local hospital, which pointed patients to the Orthodontic department. The problem was that the letter ‘R’ was missing from the sign.

Dental surgeon John Anderson, from Gardenside Dental in Neath, was shocked to see the spelling mistake at Morriston Hospital in Swansea.

Mr Anderson said that he was “embarrassed” by the signage at the hospital.

In response to the comments, a spokeswoman for Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board said that the error had already been spotted and the health board has contacted the contractor to correct the mistake and ensure that the sign reads correctly.

This recent signage problem at Morriston Hospital is not the only example of spelling mistakes in the area.

In recent years, a sign pointed to the Bible Cottage of Wales, rather than the Bible College of Wales. The Welsh language has also caused numerous problems with temporary signs, with residents submitting complaints to Swansea Council on a number of occasions as a result of spelling mistakes.
