Dental staff hit the streets to recruit NHS patients
Dental staff in Trafford are planning to hit the streets and visit shopping malls to try and encourage people to register with an NHS dentist.
Members of staff from Trafford will visit the Stretford Mall this week to talk to local people about NHS dental services in the area and encourage them to sign up with a local dentist. Shoppers will be able to register their interest on the day and staff will then contact them in due course to arrange their first appointment.
The initiative is being launched to try and let people know that there are NHS places available in Trafford; many people assume that they won’t be able to find a dentist that is taking on new NHS patients and as a consequence they don’t bother trying to register with a local practice.
Staff will also be happy to talk to people about the services on offer in Trafford and answer any questions.
