Dental school alumni help Californians

Sample News Big
Alumni from the University of Southern California are helping disadvantaged local people get access to dental care.
The former students from the School of Dentistry (USC) are serving the community by purchasing new equipment for their new practices from Edge Medical Technologies who will then make significant donations to the USC’s Mobile Dental Clinic through the airBUG™ Pollination Program.
This scheme was thought-up after Denti-Cal services finished early in 2009, leaving many Californians without affordable dental cover.
Brian Black, Edge Medical Technologies CEO, said the pollination program was a great way for the alumni to give something back while getting the latest technology for their new practices.
Edge Medical Technologies donate $100 to the mobile clinic when USC alumni buy the airBUG™ e1 Operatory Kit and $5  when they purchase a Refill Kit.
The mobile dental clinic, which has been in operation for more than 30 years, drives around California giving away $1million-worth of free dental care to hard-up  patients annually.
USC now has five dental vehicles doing the rounds and can provide most oral health services including anything from check-ups and advice to extractions and restorations.
