Dental Implants Becoming Increasingly Popular

Dental implants are becoming increasingly popular, according to data from the medical search engine www.whatclinic.com.

Recent data reveals that more than 150,000 people in the UK used the search engine to find out about dental treatments and search for clinics in their area during the last month, with 2,500 interested specifically in dental implants. The figures represent an increase of 105 percent compared to the same period of time last year.

Representatives from the site attributed the increase in interest to greater public awareness of the treatment and more competition between clinics, which has made the treatment more affordable.

The site data also revealed that dental implants were popular across the whole of the UK, with clinics in the West Midlands, London and Scotland the most popular searches.

According to statistics, around 27 million people in Great Britain have a missing tooth, meaning that the British market is considerable. Dental implants are widely regarded as the best option for replacing missing teeth because they last a lifetime and restore optimum function to the mouth.

Caelen King, CEO of the search engine, said that the figures indicate that it is very obvious that the UK market is growing, with more and more people taking an interest in the treatment.

The site revealed that the average price quoted for implants was £1, 860 per implant.
