Dental Funding Needed for Dentaid Ugandan Mission
Dentaid, the dental charity, is heading over to Uganda, to fund a team of local dentists, to enable them to travel around the country to treat dental emergencies and to educate people on a number of dental health topics.
Some of the subjects the team hope to address include:
- Education about all aspects of dental health.
- Educating local communities about the risk of infant oral mutilation, to prevent the practice and stop oral health problems.
- Checking the dental health of children.
- Treating patients with severe dental pain, with the use of extractions and restorative treatments.

A £35 sponsorship will fund an entire day’s travel and expenses and £420 will provide a dentist with the means to help local patients one day every month for a year.
