Dental floss surgery man unleashed

Sample News Big

In January Cosmetic Dentistry Guide reported that a Florida man had been charged for animal cruelty after he had tried to repair his dog’s wound with dental floss and glue.

However, Broward State Attorney’s Office has now ruled that there wasn’t enough evidence to convict William Ralph Jones of Oakland Park, Fort Lauderdale.

The ruling noted that while Jones had shown extremely poor judegement he had not intended to hurt Zoe, a two-year-old mongrel.

Jones accidentally killed Zoe by performing ‘surgery’ on her after she had become injured while trying to escape from his garden.

She had received a three-inch gash to her stomach during the escape and Jones initially tried to seal the wound with super glue.

However, it reopened a day later so Jones instructed his flat mate Charles Haire, 40, to give Zoe a muscle relaxant so he could perform surgery on her on his coffee table.

According to police reports, Jones then attempted to sew-up the gash with dental floss but Zoe kept yelping with pain.

He then threatened to stab her with a pair of scissors when she wouldn’t calm down and instructed Haire and his daughter Ayse, 26, to restrain the dog.

He then placed chloroform on her muzzle to knock her unconscious but she never awoke.
