Dental Duo Reunited After Twenty Years

Two dentists who studies together at university have been reunited by a new business project in Bradford.

Dentists Matt Parrot and John Sinclair studies at Leeds University but the students went their separate ways after graduating. Now, 20 years later, the dentists have joined forces on a new business venture.

Parrot and Sinclair have taken over the Leeds Road Dental Practice in Bradford after receiving financial backing from Lloyds TSB’s Commercial Healthcare department. The duo has received a loan for £130,000, which will be used to create a third surgery and expand the treatment range to include cosmetic dental services.

Matt has been working at the Leeds Road practice for 15 years and the pair was reunited after John left a position at a Leeds practice to buy out Matt’s former partner, who was retiring.

John said that he and Matt have very similar experiences of the dental profession due to graduating close together and working in Yorkshire and he believes this will make them excellent business partners. He added that they both have young families and want to modernise the practice, while maintaining the family-orientated feel already in place at the surgery.

The venture is not just good news for Matt and John, but also for the local community, as there will be more NHS dental places available and patients will eventually have access to a wider range of services.
