The claims come from website TamilStar.com which explained the various procedures patients can choose from.
"Cosmetic surgery requires more art than science because after all, it aims to beautify," the site states. "For best results, dentists often recommend the use of two or more procedures in correcting the teeth."
Teeth whitening treatments can improve the colour by up to 12 to 15 shades lighter, it comments, along with tooth shaping which corrects undesirable molars.
Porcelain veneers can be applied to the front surface of the teeth to hide any previous damage such as cracks or marks, the portal continues, adding that a gap-toothed smile will be rectified via orthodontic treatment.
The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry has warned that whitening toothpastes will not have the same effect as professional procedures, as the results will only be short-term.
