Correcting a gap-toothed smile 'can restore confidence'

Correcting a gap-toothed smile 'can restore confidence'Gaps between teeth are often "quite embarrassing", reports bestsyndication.com.

According to the website, although gap-toothed smile can be an interesting characteristic, it is often associated with bad dental hygiene.

It also claims that gaps between teeth can be a precursor to problems like gingivitis as they can be a breeding ground for bacteria.

"There are numerous easy, painless and quick ways to repair a gap-toothed smile," said Dennis Ikuta, a cosmetic dentist.

The most popular method is porcelain veneers, he added, explaining that this technique is permanent and involves thin ceramic shells which close the gaps between teeth.

The website explains that the method takes about a month to complete and not only corrects gaps but also discoloration and cracks in teeth.

"You'll be able to smile with confidence," it reports.

Celebrities who are well-known for their gap-toothed smile include Madonna, AC Milan footballer Ronaldo and Arnold Schwarzenegger.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18385360-ADNFCR
