Clacton Residents Support Dentist’s Bid to Relocate

Sample News Big

The residents of Clacton and Frinton have signed a petition to show their support for proposed relocation plans for a local dental practice.

Southern Dental’s landlord has informed practice owners that the surgery must relocate and the owners are eager to move to disused retail premises just up the road. However, members of the regeneration team at Tendrig Council have suggested that they want to keep the vacant unit free for retail purposes and therefore, the application from Southern Dental may be rejected.

Owners of the practice believe that the unit, which was previously occupied by Spar, is an excellent choice because it affords easy access for the disabled and those with mobility issues.

A petition in support of the proposed move has already attracted more than 100 signatures from local people. The town council and residents’ association have also given their support to the change of use application. The premises have been empty for the last 18 months and the move would enable existing patients to continue accessing dental services on their doorstep.
