A Cirencester dentist is preparing to take on a series of challenges to raise money for charity.

Dr Ross Cutts, from Cirencester Dental Practice, is challenging for 18 sporting events over the next 18 months to raise money for Breast Cancer Care. Dr Cutts is aiming to raise £18,000 over the next year and a half to help people who have been affected by breast cancer.

Speaking about the impending challenges, Dr Cutts said that he has many friends, patients and family members who have been affected by breast cancer and he decided to do something to help; he said that he has spent many years listening to humbling and motivational stories of patients who have overcome adversity or lost loved ones and now he has decided to act and complete the challenges in order to raise much-needed funds for Breast Cancer Care.

Dr Cutts has already completed two of the eighteen challenges, the Blenheim Cycle Ribbonride and a 100 kilometre Nightrider Cycle and he is gearing up for the British 10k run London Run and the Cotswold Triathlon, which take place in July and September respectively.

Dr Cutts will also become part of a team of 30 cyclists to take part in the Straumann Charity Bike Ride 2013, which is due to take place between the 19th and the 24th September; the race starts at Straumann headquarters in Basel and finishes 600 miles away in Crawley at the firm’s UK headquarters.

Dr Cutts is writing a blog about his charity mission and he is actively fundraising to try and reach the £18,000 target; anyone who would like to sponsor him is encouraged to visit:  http://www.justgiving.com/teams/DrRossCuttsCharityChallenge  or pop into the Cirencester Dental Practice.
