Dentists in Chicago believe trade is picking up again after the recession.

Rachel Anderson, a receptionist at Andersonville Dental, said that new patients are registering on a daily basis and patients are attending appointments on a more regular basis. Over the last few years, many dentists have experienced a decline in patient numbers and the number of procedures they carry out as a result of the fact that people have suffered because of the global recession.

Williams said that many people are now making appointments because they have got new jobs. Over the last two years, several patients have avoided going to the dentist because they lost their insurance benefits as a result of losing their job. Now that employment rates are increasing, more and more people are able to afford dental treatment.

Beatriz Marquez, a receptionist at The Radiant Smile, echoed Ms William’s sentiments, saying that the practice had been a lot busier in the last couple of months.

Cosmetic dentists suffered during the recession as the treatments they offered were seen as an unaffordable luxury by most, however, business has started to improve and patient numbers were increasing.
