Carlisle dentist submits relocation plans

Sample News Big

A dentist from Carlisle has submitted plans to relocate an existing dental practice in Warwick Road to the city’s Durranhill Industrial Estate.
Dentist Dr Liz Mather is planning to move Eden Dental Practice to the industrial estate next to Carlisle East Fore Station in a relocation, which would create new jobs and increase capacity. Dr Mather has submitted a planning application for a piece of land, which was previously part of the Border TV development. She hopes to build a brand new surgery, which offers both NHS and private dental care, on the plot.
If the application is successful, the state of the art surgery would offer eight new treatment rooms and employ twenty members of staff.
Before she submitted the plans, Dr Mather consulted patients to see what they thought of the proposed move. The feedback was mostly very positive.
A formal application has now been sent to the city council accompanied by plans drawn up by Matthew Deering Architects.
The application states that the plot boasts excellent transport links and parking for staff members and patients. It also mentions that the surgery will be built to the “highest possible standards.”
The former Border TV plot is being sold off by the council in stages.
