Bury St. Edmunds Clinic Closes After Sudden Death of Dentist

Sample News Big

A dental clinic in Bury St Edmunds closed last week after the sudden death of dentist and owner, Peter Clinton. Peter Clinton Dental Surgery remains shut today and patients have been advised to find alternative care for emergencies on a temporary basis.

Police confirmed that Mr Clinton had passed away last Monday after they were called to an address in Guildhall Street amid concerns about the health and welfare of a man who was later identified as Mr Clinton. Police have since released a statement saying that the death is not being treated as suspicious and a coroner’s inquest will take place in due course.

Staff and patients were shocked to hear the news and the clinic, which is located on Hollow Road, has been closed since. Patients who require dental care are being advised to contact NHS 111 during non-working hours and 0800 3896 819 for emergency dental treatment during working hours.

There is currently a voice message on the answer phone detailing information about alternative services and the team is hoping to get the practice up and running as soon as possible following Mr Clinton’s sad and sudden passing.
