Burglars target dental practices in Frome

Sample News Big

Burglars have targeted two dental practices in Frome. Police have confirmed that thieves broke into Catherine Court Dentistry and Welshmill Dental Practice over the course of the weekend of the 21st July.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police claimed that thieves had targeted the two surgeries sometime between 8pm on Friday 21st July and 8am on Monday 24th July. A window had been smashed at Catherine Court Dentistry and a wooden panel had been damaged at Welshmill Dental Practice.

The cash drawers were open when the team from Welshmill Dental Practice arrived at work on Monday morning, but thankfully, they are emptied and no money was kept on-site over the weekend. Unfortunately, the thieves did steal a charity collection box, which contained donations of more than £100 for the British Heart Foundation. Rebecca Loynes, practice manager, explained that the cash had been collected for a charity cycle from London to Paris and said that it was really upsetting for everyone to lose this money. The team is now hoping that somebody saw or heard something, which could help police to find the suspects.

Anyone who knows anything about the break-ins is advised to contact 101 and ask for PC Darren Baker quoting the reference 52171168651.
