Bupa has revealed plans to build 50 new dental surgeries over the course of the next three years.

Bupa, one of the world’s leading private health providers, has announced plans to focus on London and tap into the UK’s growing dental industry, which is currently valued at £2.4 billion.

Bupa currently only has eleven surgeries and are planning to open clinics close to existing surgeries that are open during the evenings.

Stuart Fletcher, chief executive, said that the company has decided to join the dental market as they have seen an “opportunity”. The UK industry is forecast to grow by 2.7 percent per year for the next five years.

Bupa is also targeting the Spanish market and the firm currently has 81 dental clinics and more than 650,000 customers.
