Sales director at Bupa Health Funding, Tony Wood, said that dental cover is a very valuable benefit for employees and the new plan will benefit a wider range of companies.

The Bupa Dental Health Plan also offers 20 per cent discount on general dental treatment, including crowns, dental bridges and veneers. The plan also offers 20 per cent off whitening treatment, worldwide cover for urgent treatment and cover for oral cancer.

Bupa is currently in the process of expanding its dental business, with several new dental centres expected to open in Londonand other parts of the UK over the course of the coming years.

Research has shown that employers who invest in dental benefits for their workers are less likely to lose money as a result of employees taking time off. This often comes as a direct result of dental problems.
