Botox competitor approved by the FDA
A new alternative to Botox has been approved by the FDA. Dysport, which has long been used in Europe and Brazil, is now the second cosmetic botulinum toxin available on the US market.
Brazilian doctors have reported that Dysport outlasts Botox, which usually keeps you wrinkle-free for four months. In some cases, Dysport has lasted up to six months, and it may also start working sooner, taking only two days to begin smoothing your wrinkles instead of Botox’s seven.
Dysport will be available in the US within 60 days. It is not yet known how much it will cost.
