Blackburn dentist praises 91-year-old patient with all his own teeth
A dentist from Blackburn has shared photos and heaped praise upon a 91-year-old patient who still has all of his own teeth.
Dr Khalid Master, from Bank View Smile Studios, said that it was incredibly impressive, but also unsurprising that Jack Williamson, 91, has all of his natural teeth. Jack served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War, and during his time in the forces, he worked as a dental assistant and technician, providing services and expert advice to benefit his fellow sailors.
Jack has been a patient at the practice, which is located in Preston New Road, since 1964. He has always been very diligent about looking after his teeth, and Dr Master is keen to use him as an example to show the long-term benefits of taking good care of your mouth.
In a post shared online, Dr Master introduced Mr Williamson, and highlighted his incredible smile, which he has tended to over the course of nine decades by sticking to a good daily oral hygiene regime and attending check-ups on a regular basis. Jack is meticulous about brushing and flossing, and he also has a very healthy diet.
