Biolase Gets Japanese Patent

Biolase Gets Japanese Patent

Biolase Technology Inc., a maker of hard and soft tissue dental lasers, has revealed that the company obtained its first Japanese patent. The patent is for the company’s product that cuts soft tissue using water particles. Gaining a Japanese patent has given Biolase the opportunity to sell its ‘core Waterlase device,’ and to focus on their international market endeavours. Biolase’s stock rose on the announcement, but retreated later in the down market session.
