A hugely successful Billingham dental firm has revealed plans for further expansion.

Paul Averley, managing director of Queensway Dental Clinic, confirmed that the business, which was established in 1968, is set to expand again, with the addition of a new surgery and additional laboratory space. The firm, which was taken over by Mr Averley in 1994, now employs 100 members of staff and runs 22 surgeries, including a specialist oral surgery and orthodontic clinic, across the area.

Mr Averley, who owns the business with Ian Lane and Richard Elliott, said that none of the partners have looked back since they made the decision to invest their money in Billingham over two decades ago. The firm has gone from strength to strength and the future looks very bright.

Over the years, as the business has expanded, the firm has bought additional space, but the partners have been able to make the necessary changes and adaptations in Billingham, which has boosted the town’s profile and enabled employees to continue working in the same patch.

Rob Richards, Asset and development manager at St Modwen, the company responsible for managing the town centre, described Queensway Dental Clinic as an important asset to the centre of the town and helps to draw thousands of people to the area each year.
