Be careful with bridal Botox, says surgeon

Be careful with bridal Botox, says surgeonAs facial rejuvenation becomes more popular among women preparing for their big day, a US plastic surgeon has warned of the do's and dont's of bridal Botox.

The Guardian recently highlighted the increasing number of women going to extreme lengths to look good for their wedding, claiming that Botox is one of the newest trends.

Beverly Hills-based surgeon Dr Azizzadeh warned that Botox needs to be performed well in advance of the big day, so that any bruising or swelling can go down.

It also needs to be performed with care so that the bride's face does not look "too done" and she can still smile and show expression in her wedding pictures, he said.

"Be prepared to ask the doctor questions about your face and be specific about the exact results you are looking for from fillers," Dr Azazzadeh added. "Be realistic about what you want. It may not make you look 18 years old again, but it will give you a fresher, younger look."ADNFCR-1374-ID-18593883-ADNFCR
