BDA awards Peterborough clinic Good Practice gong
The British Dental Association has named Peterborough Dental Access Centre the Good Practice Scheme’s Practice-of-the-Year.
The association (BDA) presented the centre (PDAC) with the award on Sunday 29 November 2009 at the fourth annual BDA Honours and Awards Dinner in London.
The prize, which can only be won by affiliates of the BDA’s Good Practice Scheme, recognised the PDAC’s exceptional commitment to patient care.
John Drummond, BDA president, said that the Good Practice Scheme was a benchmark of excellence.
PDAC was applauded for its dedication to deliver a broad range of NHS services to a population in severe need of dental care, every day of the week.
The centre, which is supported by a 20-strong team, has gerodontology, domiciliary, periodontology, and minor surgery services, accepting referrals from other local practitioners.
Individuals were also honoured at the BDA awards for their service to the dental industry.
President Drummond said that the event was a celebration of the talent and commitment of some truly special dentists.
