Accredited dentistry course applications ‘need to be in quick’

People looking to move into dental aesthetics will have to act quickly if they are to take a place on the UK’s first accredited course on the project.

According to Dentistry.co.uk, the 18-month programme stops receiving applications on February 29th, before starting in April.

The course has come to fruition due to the need to make sure patients are protected when they look to undergo cosmetic dentistry treatment.

According to Professor Mike Mulcahy, director of the programme, there is a general lack of expertise in the industry at the moment.

He said: "The Royal College of Surgeons and, in particular, our faculty realise that patients are not being treated as well as they should be."

This follows a report from Arabian Business magazine that Jordan is becoming an increasingly popular place to have cosmetic dentistry procedures performed.

The publication comments that consumers look to the country in order to take advantage of lower prices.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18466597-ADNFCR
