A new smile"worth every penny"

A new smileA smile makeover has restored a south Tyneside woman's confidence after she smashed her front teeth 15 years ago.

Kelly Woolrych told the Shields Gazette how after a childhood skateboarding accident damaged her teeth, she could not bear to smile, open her mouth or look at her reflection in the mirror.

After seeing a smile makeover on daytime television, the 27-year-old mother-of-one said she decided that cosmetic dentistry could be the answer to her crooked teeth.

Ms Woolrych had veneers and a bridge fitted at Riveredge Cosmetic Dental Surgery in Sunderland.

"I had to save up a long time to pay for it, but it was worth every penny," she said. "My confidence came flooding back. I can smile again and everyone I know has noticed the difference in me."

The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry recently claimed that the popularity of veneers has risen by nearly 144 per cent due to the fact that the treatment is used on "pretty much every" television makeover show.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18550732-ADNFCR
